Standardized tests should not be written off, but applied correctly

Two organizations representing hundreds of U.S. colleges agreed last week to move forward with a proposal to introduce standardized testing. This is not as revolutionary as it appears. Standardized tests are not new ground for colleges; ACT or SAT tests have been mandatory for high school graduates for decades.

But make sure your safety isn't pushed aside after having those homecoming drinks. As any other night at the bar or night of drinking, make sure there's a sober ride home - be it a taxi or a friend.
