RedHawks looking for winning record after poor '06 year

Aug. 30: Miami 14,
Ball State 13
The RedHawks held Ball State to just a touchdown and a pair of field goals to give Miami a 1-0 record. Miami scored with just 17 seconds left. Miami running back Brandon Murphy had 123 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
Sophomore linebacker Caleb Bostic led the Red Hawks with 17 tackles, followed by senior linebacker Clayton Mullins with 15.

Sept. 8: Minnesota 41, Miami 35 (3OT)
Miami scored the final 16 points in regulation, but the Golden Gophers won in three overtimes. Miami quarterbacks Mike Kokal and Daniel Raudabaugh combined for 418 yards passing and three touchdowns. Both teams had 577 total yards.

Sept. 15: Cincinnati 47, Miami 10
For the second consecutive season, Cincinnati won the Battle for the Victory Bell. Raudabaugh went 24-of-45 for 240 yards and a touchdown
The Bearcats' 47 points were the most an opponent has scored against the RedHawks in five years. Miami running back Austin Sykes had 76 yards rushing.

Sept. 22: Colorado 42, Miami 0
The RedHawks hopes of coming into Boulder, Colo., and getting a win ended quickly. Colorado scored 28 points in the first half to push Miami's record to 1-3. Bostic, Mullins and redshirt junior Robbie Wilson each had 13 tackles.
Two of Bostic's tackles were for a loss. Freshman receiver Jamal Rogers had 138 yards in kick returns.

Sept. 29: Miami 17,
Syracuse 14
A 19-yard field goal by sophomore Trevor Cook was the difference in the team's win over the Orangemen. Senior Cory Jones had Miami's two touchdowns, both in the second quarter. He finished the game with 125 yards rushing. The RedHawks held Syracuse to just 66 rushing yards.

Oct. 6: Miami 20,
Kent State 13
Miami got itself back to .500 with another strong defensive showing. The RedHawks held Kent State to just three points in the second half and only six points after the first quarter.
Junior Joey Hudson had 12 tackles and sophomore Jordan Gafford 11 tackles. Sykes had 74 yards and a touchdown.
