Doll has been one of CMU's most passionate, loyal fans since he came to campus three years ago.
"I love it because I've been a huge fan of football my whole life," Doll said. "There's something about observing the team right out at the field, and how it brings everyone together, which gets me excited. It gets me really into the games."
Doll stood out in the corridors walking in and out of the stands throughout the game with his unique attire, including maroon-colored jogging pants, jersey, shirt and wig. The only thing that wasn't totally maroon were his gloves, necklaces and eye paint, which was maroon and gold.
"To have folks like that, is everything that you'd hope to have," said Nick Williams, associate athletic director of external operations.
But it wasn't not just Doll's apparel that made him stick out. With his vocal support for the team, he often was the first to get the noise going during a defensive stand.
During defensive possessions, Doll constantly had his keys held in his right hand, ready for a third down "key situation."
"I just try to make a good strong effort to get my voice out and to get the crowd going," Doll said.
Ironically enough, arguably CMU's biggest football fan ended up sitting next to RedHawk supporters in the Chippewa student section.
"That was very ironic because they're basically strangers in a foreign country over here," Doll said.
But that didn't deter his experience at the game.
"It's everything I though it would be," Doll said.
This was Doll's third trip to Ford Field in the last two years for Chippewa games and he hasn't missed a home game since he has been here.

It's about time someone finally noticed him. I'm so glad that Tim did an awesome story on him.
