The family of a 21-year-old hit-and-run victim is offering a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved.

Mount Pleasant Police continue to search for the driver of the vehicle that struck and ran over James Ronald Williams after leaving a New Year's party at O'Kelly's Sports Bar and Grill.

Police say Williams remains in serious, but stable condition at Saginaw Covenant Hospital.

Williams, a Mount Pleasant resident, was found shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday by his fellow employees lying in a grassy area in between O'Kelly's and the Stadium Mall.

"Physical evidence at the scene indicates that the victim was struck and run over by a vehicle," said Dave Sabuda, MPPD public information officer. "The physical evidence also indicates that the victim had been lying where he was found for a period of time."

Williams was taken to Central Michigan Community Hospital, and then later transported by ambulance to Saginaw Covenant Hospital.

Sabuda said Williams is an assistant manager at O'Kelly's, but he is not certain whether or not Williams is a student at Central Michigan University.

Anyone with information should contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department tip line at 779-9111.
