Through the snow and up four flights of stairs, the Central Michigan Life staff returns for another semester of news, sports and entertainment coverage.

Flint senior David Harris is returning as editor in chief. He has final executive authority over what gets published and oversees the paper's tri-weekly production.

Kameel Stanley, a Port Huron junior, will serve again as managing editor, overseeing all news content generated by a staff of three news editors.

Grand Haven sophomore Jake May, Hazel Park senior Frank Wisswell and saginaw junior Brian Manzullo, news editors, each will lead a team of roughly 20 reporters each, culling news from all sectors of campus.

Robert McLean, Lewiston senior, will spearhead the newspaper's design, and photo editor Jessica Scott and assistant photo editor Krista Mayo will lead the photo department.

The Lifeline section, which prints on Wednesdays, again will be lead by Shelby Township senior Caitlin M. Foyt.

On the editorial board this semester will be Harris, Stanley, Foyt, Troy senior Brian McLean, a senior reporter, and Livonia senior and columnist Mike Ellis. Collectively, we will aspire toward providing cogent opinions on matters concerning CMU's campus and student population.

At some point, perhaps, in your eyes we will have failed - horribly, even.

By no means do we expect our opinions to be universally accepted. We encourage feedback. If you can poke a hole in one of our arguments, please do.

We accept letters to the editor and guest columns. Please view the box on the lower right hand part of the page fore more information.

We are happy to hear your input. Please leave contact information with your letters.

And please, we've all overheard students and professors denigrating the paper during class. Instead of ridiculing us with your friends, ridicule us publicly. This is your platform.
