Many birthdays to come

I found David Harris' (Dec. 10) column on birthday's very amusing - no offense intended.
Here you are wondering at the age of 23 if future birthdays will be of any significance and here I am hoping to make it one more year to 93. Birthdays are much more important now than at any time of my life. I know I do not have many left.
If I were your English teacher, I would give you the assignment of reading Browning's Rabbi Ben Erza. As I recall when I read it at the age of 23, it started out, "Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which was made..."
