SGA

First meeting

at 7 p.m. today

The Student Government Association hopes to fill six open Senate seats during its first meeting of the semester at 7 p.m. today in Dow 171. The general board will nominate up to six candidates, who then will be expected to deliver a short speech on their qualifications followed by questions asked by SGA members. The association had elections for senators at the end of last semester, but filled just two seats. "Sometimes we get big elections and sometimes we only get a couple of people," said Senate Leader and Montgomery senior Paul Pridgeon. Senator duties include serving on an SGA committee, attending weekly meetings Monday nights and serving a few office hours each week.
