Schultz sentenced to life in prison
Ex-boyfriend bickers with family inside courtroom

An Isabella County judge sentenced Gordon D. Schultz to life in prison Thursday afternoon for his role in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Becky Sue MacDonald.
Judge Mark Duthie read the sentence to a courtroom that heard its share of bickering between MacDonald's family and Schultz.
MacDonald's daughter, Terrie Thrush, spoke in front of the court before Duthie handed down the verdict.
"You're a piece of (expletive) and I hope you rot in hell," Thrush said.
Schultz was convicted of first-degree murder in January. MacDonald went missing on Nov. 11, 2005.
Duthie also sentenced Schultz to six years in prison for aggravated stalking. He will serve his sentences concurrently.
