For Ebone Mclean, a question about "Scrubs" star Donald Faison led to a $200 cash prize.
The Harper Woods senior claimed her reward after winning the ThinkFast! trivia game Monday in the Bovee University Center's Rotunda. Minority Student Services sponsored the event, which featured questions about black history pop culture in celebration of Black History Month.
Mclean heard about the annual challenge from friends and attended the contest for the first time.
"I thought it was nice," she said. "It was a chance to educate people about different cultures."
Mclean won the game after she correctly named the actor who starred in "Scrubs" and "Clueless" - Faison.
Shawn Wilson, assistant director of MSS, said the annual event is popular.
"We try to put this on every year because the students seem to enjoy it," Wilson said.
Upon entering, each audience member was given a remote control, which was used to answer multiple choice questions shown on two screens.
