Things to do on a snow day

Never before in one semester have more than three of my classes been canceled because of inclement weather.
The one time classes were canceled during my sophomore year, it seemed as though half of the campus had slipped and fallen on the ice on their way to morning classes. The university decided to cancel classes after noon.
This year I've been to my 8 a.m. class twice in the past four weeks.
Not because I'm allergic to the morning, but because the university canceled pre-noon classes.
This makes more sense to me, and I thank them for it.
Sometimes when afternoon or late morning classes are canceled, I wonder what I can do. I'm already up and awake; I might as well stay that way.
So suddenly, you have the whole day to yourself. You're wide awake and you're bored. What do you do?
1. Call your parents. Catch up and remind them that they're special.
2. Eat a hearty breakfast. Make eggs or treat yourself to pancakes.
3. Spend time with your roommates. If your life is anything like mine, you probably haven't had time to talk to them in a couple days anyway.
4. Do homework. I hate to say it, but you might as well get started on that project that's due in the next couple of weeks. You'll feel more accomplished later on.
5. Work out. You're just sitting around watching TV anyway. Pop in the ear buds and go for a run. If it's too cold outside, hit up your apartment's workout facility or the SAC. If the mere thought of venturing into the sub 10 degree weather makes you apprehensive, pop in a workout video. Or put something interesting on TV and do some basic floor exercises while you watch.
6. Watch a movie you haven't seen in awhile, or perhaps there's one sitting around that's still unopened. It's a better time than any.
7. If you're about to graduate, figure out what you're going to do with your life. A little searching online helps. (Caution: This could cause extreme depression for the rest of the day.)
8. Do laundry. Why not? Those piles aren't going to wash themselves.
While you're at it, you could clean your room too.
Of course you could do what I did Wednesday and turn off your phone to catch up on sleep. Then again, I had completed the whole list the last day we had off.
