Monday, Feb. 14, 1977
The men's basketball team came back from a three-point halftime deficit to beat Eastern Michigan 76-72 Saturday in Rose Arena.
Senior Leonard Drake and sophomore Val Bracey led CMU with 18 points and 14 points, respectively.
The men's swim team beat Miami 60-53 Saturday in Rose Arena.
The 400-meter freestyle team set a school record in a time of 9 minutes, 41.95 seconds.
Jeff Diekema won the 1000-yard and 500-yard freestyles. The 1000 time was a career best and the 500 was a season best.

The women's basketball team took a three-game lead in the MAC after beating Western Michigan 80-73 Saturday in Rose Arena.
A record 2,733 people saw the Chippewas come back from a 37-33 deficit.
CMU (14-7, 11-1 MAC) was led by junior Betsy Yonkman, who scored 22 points.
The men's basketball team gave up 13 straight points to the Broncos on Saturday night at Rose Arena in a 71-69 loss.
Senior James Mitchell scored 16 points to lead CMU.

Center Nate Huffman scored 29 points and had 17 rebounds to lead the men's basketball team over Miami 86-75 Saturday in Rose Arena.
The Chippewas' 14-2 run in the second half made up for a being down by two at the half.
CMU (6-14, 3-9 MAC) outrebounded Miami 44-34.
The women's basketball team was outrebounded 37-27 in a 71-57 loss Saturday in Rose Arena.
Forward Tracy Renken led CMU with 20 points.
