Students tell
stories of study abroad endeavors
The International Education and Study Abroad offices are hosting a meet and greet with CMU students who recently studied abroad in Latin America and Spain at 3:30 p.m. today in the Bovee University Center room 106. Alternative activism
Speaker to discuss environmental issues
The Student Environmental Alliance will host a training session entitled "Non-Violent Direct Action," a conference on how to take action against any issue at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Bovee University Center's Lake Michigan Room.
Brandon Knight will speak on behalf of Global Exchange, an organization that has been fighting for human rights for more than 20 years. "The training session will be providing tools for student organizations and activists to legally express their viewpoints," said Manistee junior Chris Venegas, an SEA member. "A lot of students are involved at CMU, hopefully they will take these tools back to their organizations and help voice their opinions." The event is open to the public. Information Technology is hosting a general overview for employees who feel they need additional training on how to navigate Campus Management to access information in the student system. Session to teach ways of handcycling
Ever wanted to test your upper body strength while riding a bike? Learn about handcycling, bicycling powered by hands and arms instead of legs, and try riding one of the bikes at 6 p.m. Thursday in Finch Fieldhouse room 110.
