After observing coverage of this spat, it became clear the press has taken a liking to writing any Clinton grievance off as erroneous, as well.

Girlfriend should be responsible

I am appalled at the article in Central Michigan Life about the beating at the Wayside Bar on New Year's Eve. What kind of a person would write in detail the testimony of the girlfriend in gruesome detail? Who in their right minds could take pen and pencil and write the beating in detail to the public? Are they insane? The girlfriend saw and did nothing about it.

They are wolves in banker's clothing, hiding their predatory nature behind polo shirts, a name-tag and maybe a nice sweater. One of their victims remained out of sight until last Friday, when Michigan officials announced the slow death of the Michigan Alternative Student Loans Program (MI-LOANS).

The following editorial appeared in Newsday on Friday, Feb. 15: Steven Spielberg played his role last week to bring renewed attention to the genocide in Darfur, now it's President George W. Bush's turn in the lights. The acclaimed film director withdrew as a consultant to the Chinese government for the opening and closing ceremonies of this year's Olympics Games, in an attempt to embarrass it into action.
