Java City offers student discount Tuesday
Central Michigan University's campus coffee retailer Java City will host a Customer Appreciation Night from 5 to 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Charles V. Park Library and Health Professions locations. All beverages will be offered at half-price limited to one drink per customer.

Beddow hosting fundraiser for Relay for Life
Beddow Hall residents are invited from 10 to 11 p.m. Monday to throw a pie at their residence hall director, multicultural adviser or members of Beddow's Executive Board to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Cost per pie is yet to be determined. Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society as an extension of the Relay for Life event that took place on Feb. 16 and 17.

Powers Woodwind Quintet to perform Tuesday
A group of CMU faculty members who make up Powers Woodwind Quintet will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Staples Family Concert Hall. The group is composed of Joanna Cowan White, Jennifer Lynn Cavanaugh, Kennen White, MaryBeth Minnis and Bruce Bonnell. Andrew Spencer will join the quintet on percussion. They will perform "Italian Concerto" by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Three Madrigals" by Don Carlo Gesualdo and "Miniatures" by William Grant Still. Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. For more information, contact John Jacobson at 774-3738.

Jaeger named
interim CMCH CEO
Lee Jaeger was selected Thursday as the interim chief executive officer of Central Michigan Community Hospital. According to a CMCH press release, Jaeger has 25 years of health care experience in leadership positions. Most recently, he worked for nine years in Milwaukee inside St. Luke's South Shore, a 100-bed hospital. He has been responsible for strategic planning and business development in previous positions. Jaeger received his bachelor's and master's degrees in public health from the University of Michigan.
