Through the air:
According to the Transportation Security Administration, all liquids, gels and aerosols, including deodorant, lip gloss and sanitizer carried through security checkpoints must be in three ounce containers or smaller, and must be placed in a quart size zip-top plastic bag that is accessible during X-ray screening. Any liquids larger than three ounces must be placed in luggage and checked upon arrival. Camcorders, camera equipment including undeveloped film, laptop computers, cell phones, pagers and personal data assistants all are allowed during security check and as carry-on items. Food and beverages brought from home are not permitted past the security checkpoint. However, anything purchased after security screening is permitted and acceptable as carry-on items.
