Some shirts may be plain, while others may have writing across the front such as "Irish I Were Drunk" or "Official Green Beer Tester."
One of these tees may be the exact shirt a student wants to wear, but has no idea where they can be found.
Target, 4097 E. Bluegrass, and Old Navy, 4170 E. Bluegrass, offer St. Patrick's Day-themed clothing for both men and women.
Old Navy offers a larger variety for men, with green shorts, several different screened tees and even green slip on shoes.
Lounge pants and boxers also are available. Women's shirts are limited, but cute nonetheless.
Target offers only two Irish-themed shirts for males. While they also offer a couple of hats and boxers, styles are not as abundant as Old Navy. For the ladies, shirts are offered, but only in four styles. For accessories, Target sells green wigs and feather boas.
While most of the St. Patrick's Day clothing retails for around $10, some things may be more expensive depending on what is purchased.
Students also have the option to order shirts from various printing places around Mount Pleasant.
Eastpointe senior Nicole R. Scott and Rochester Hills senior Joe Delia are two students who are designing shirts for themselves, friends and anyone else who would like one.
Scott created a Facebook group, "St. Patrick's Day Tee Shirts," so people could vote on T-shirt designs.
"I asked people in the group to say which shirt they liked the best, and after seeing which shirts people would order, we decided on two designs people could choose from," Scott said.
Scott has ordered more than 70 shirts for those in the Facebook group. Two friends helped him to design the shirts.
Delia created a Facebook group, "St. Patty Day T-Shirts by Cleve College Clothing," to promote his shirts.
"We felt there is a major demand for shirts that is not being met," he said.
Students can receive discounts on various services and from restaurants when wearing one of his shirts.
Many Greek organizations also design T-shirts for St. Patrick's Day.
St. Clair Shores junior Natalie Beato is a member of Delta Zeta, one such sorority.
Beato said she feels closer to her sorority sisters when they all wear the same shirt.
"We're more unified, and it's easier to find people in a crowd," Beato said.
