Toys for Tots
announces year-round literacy program
UPS Stores and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation are teaming up to hold the first year-round Toys for Tots Literacy Program. The UPS Store in Stadium Mall, 2020 S. Mission St., will sell $1 donation cards throughout March. For every dollar donated, a book will be given to a deserving child in the area from Scholastic Inc. The store also will host a book drive to collect new and age appropriate books. The Toys for Tots Literacy Program offers disadvantaged children access to books and educational resources in order to compete academically and to succeed in life. The UPS Store operates from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 773-6060 or visit ToysforTotsLiteracy.org.
