Last week's South by Southwest music conference was filled with the sort of chat that is unsettling to many record label executives. One panelist proposed providing free music file downloads and sharing the site's advertising revenue with participating musicians.

Dear Editor, The Lifeline picture for Wednesday, March 12th's CM Life article on "St. Patty's Switch" had me taken aback. The picture depicted a very stereotypical and menacing picture of (presumably) Pope Benedict XVI taunting a leprechaun with a clover.

If politicians are to be held responsible for their decisions, they need to start with the state and the party level. The party leaders who pushed the early vote weren't ignorant of the rules, in fact they wrote them. Now they aren't willing to pay the consequences.

Bad credit

Convenience fee is wise policy and will save the university money

The university's new credit card convenience fee likely has irritated many students, who now will want to seek another method of payment. It's tempting to describe the new policy as an underhanded stingy move by the university, but the fee actually is quite reasonable.
