Seniors and graduate students have less than two months to gather announcements and purchase their cap and gown for the big day.
The last day for graduate students to obtain their graduation materials from this year's Grad Fair is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today in the Bovee University Center.
"It gives us a chance to see them," said Lansing senior Laura Slusher. "I think it's just nice to be able to look at them."
Students can walk around the room and stop at various booths to look at frames for diplomas, enter a raffle or have their graduation photo taken for family and friends.
Those who attended the fair on Tuesday weren't sure whether to practice tossing their cap in the air or examine class rings.
Britton senior Jon Taylor wasn't sure about buying a ring until Balfour Rings assured him a switch after his graduate studies.
"They said they could switch it," Taylor said. "In high school you would get a class ring. Back in the day it was cool. If you were not going to college it was cool to keep it."
Aside from announcements and gowns, students can look into information about graduate programs if you would like to stay at CMU a little longer.
"I want to let graduating students know we have a variety of graduate programs to choose from," said Robert Hassen, coordinator of graduate recruiting.
Hassen said if students are unsure on what programs to pursue after graduating they can log onto the Web site to find more information.
Graduating students who are not able to attend the fair can order their gowns on the CMU Bookstore Web site or on May 1 and 2 in Rose Arena before graduation on May 3.
"We told students if they can't make it to send a friend or family member in to pick up their gowns," said CMU Bookstore director Barry Waters.
Students ordering gowns online will pay $10 more plus shipping and handling.
