Honors program
Academic Senate
alters requirements
The Academic Senate voted to approve changes to the Honors Program protocol at its Tuesday meeting. Requirement 2 now requires honors students to complete a minimum of six-to-eight credit hours at the college level in foreign language courses, American Sign Language courses, Study Abroad courses or Honors Cultural Diversity courses approved by the Honors Council. The requirement previously stated honors students had to complete a minimum of six-to-eight credit hours in a single foreign language at the college or university level or an alternative approved by the Honors Program director. The protocol change also gives the authority to approve alternatives to the Honors Council in place of the Honors Program director.
