AUTISM AWARENESS
Family night kicks off Autism Month
The Student Council for Exceptional Children will host a Family Fun Night to kick off Autism Awareness Month at 6 p.m. today in Kulhavi Hall. The event has more than 20 children participating, said Julie Lorenzen, secretary for the Central Michigan pending chapter of Autism Society of America. "We decided to include it in our April events," she said. The event will have board games, an art table and other activities for children and their families to participate in. The event is an RSVP only event.

SOARING EAGLE CASINO
Boxing highlights weekend
FOX Sports Net Boxing will return at 8 p.m. Saturday to Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, 6800 Soaring Eagle Blvd. Fighters such as Francis McKechnie and Tyrone "Young Gun" Brunson will look to beat the record for first-round knockouts. Tickets range from $50 to $75 and can be purchased by calling 1-800-585-3737 or online at starticketsplus.net.

VOLUNTEER CENTER
Last day to donate new, old books
The Volunteer Center will accept old and new books for its Literacy Awareness Week. From children's books to textbooks, books of all types will be accepted. Books can be dropped off in the box in front of the Volunteer Center in Bovee University Center Room 107. For more information, contact the Volunteer Center at 774-7685.

CONCERT
Wesley Foundation hosts all-ages
show today
Diamonds in the Rough Promotions will host a concert at 6 p.m. today at the Wesley Foundation, 1200 S. Washington St. Bands slated to perform include Vince Dynamic, Tubedebut and September On. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
