Three Dull Guys, one dull letter
Issue date: 4/7/08 Section: Voices
In Friday's issue of Central Michigan Life, I came across the letter to the editor by the Three Dull Guys. I was thoroughly unimpressed with the sub-par humor of their article entitled "The Dinosaur was never funny."
To the authors of this article, while you may want to belittle Evan Shaner with your "humor" in order to use your editorial as a promotion for your next amateur comedy event, your slanderous tone is completely unnecessary and disrespectful.
I do not know any of you, or Evan personally, but shame on the three of you for assuming you have the credibility to judge the work of someone in your same field of "humor."
Three Dull Guys - what authority do you have to criticize the works of our local cartoonist? Rather than offering constructive criticism or offering fresh ideas for his creative works, you chose to attack one of your peers in a mocking tone. While this may be your style of comedy, if there are people on this campus ignorant enough to enjoy the humor in your shows and letter to the editor, I am sure there are people who enjoy Evan's cartoons.

Of course, by submitting this article, you are in fact doing a very similar thing to them. Interesting how that all works out, no?

And your response is in fact doing the same to me. How fancy! This is a never ending circle. Boy, is this fun!
