$2.1 million set aside for events center planning and design

More than $4 million has been raised for Central Michigan University's renovation of Rose Arena into a university-wide events center. The CMU Board of Trustees approved a proposal on July 17 that reserved $2.1 million for the planning and design phase. More than $1 million comes from the university and the other $1 million comes from the $4 million already raised.
