A win not necessarily the goal of out-of-conference play
College football, like the National Football League before it, truly has turned into a money business. Year after year, big-time football programs schedule cupcake games early in the season, hoping to enter conference play 4-0 and just two wins away from bowl eligibility.
Section success
Even as the football program's increased popularity has increased student attendance at games, its spirited student section has remained nameless. The Student Government Association's push to name the student section is an apt way to emphasize fan unity and increase school spirit.
