Response to letter questioning Barack Obama's qualifications for presidency

Despite what some people will tell you, direct executive experience is not the only qualifier for the Presidential Office. Just because someone has been doing something for a long period of time doesn't mean they do it particularly well or in the best interest of the people voting for them.

'Yes' for medicinal marijuana There need to be more studies about this. The problem is due to this being a schedule I controlled substance this cannot be done. However, it could be used to counteract side effects from chemo medications and relieve pain in cancer patients.

Faculty Association should continue under extended contract?

Faculty contracts expire Wednesday. But for students, that day should be no different from any other. Faculty Association members should host class as usual. The FA should extend its current contract, with the understanding that the new contract - whenever an agreement is reached - will be retroactive.
