Candidates should reach beyond bickering to real issues

What we have learned from the first two debates of this presidential election is that there are no guarantees with who actually won or lost; the only guarantee is that the events outside the debates are dictating who will win the Oval Office. Some of the things being said by current leaders in office are not matching what many think should be done, and the rest of the world is reflecting this trend, as it is crucial for the U.
College Republicans support faculty

The recent conflicts between the Faculty Association and the administration are a tragic occurrence. The College Republicans stand behind the faculty in whatever decision they make as the contract renewal deadline approaches. The administration must understand that the faculty, just like everybody else, are going through tough economic times, and this next contract must address this issue.

Online comments regarding "Five students hospitalized after fight at Delta Chi house" This article makes Delta Chi look good, compared to what actually went on that night. I don't know what your risk management policy is but I'm pretty sure it doesn't (or at least shouldn't) involve dragging an uninvited guest into the front lawn, getting all the members of the fraternity together and beating the crap out of him until he goes unconscious? Delta Chi did a lot more than "ask him to leave" and I don't think that boy could have came back later even if he wanted to, he looked beat up pretty badly.

Central/Western trophy has a ridiculous design
Nothing says "football rivalry" quite like a 19th century cannon. The Student Government Association and its Western Michigan University counterpart had the opportunity to provide something long-sought: a trophy that would symbolize the Central/Western rivalry.
