The 21st Annual Powwow takes place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Rose Arena. Saturday’s grand entrance is at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday’s is at noon.

Construction of an addition to Mid Michigan Community College was approved Wednesday by the Union Township Planning Commission.The Herbert D. Doan Center for Science and Health Technologies, on the corner of Broadway and Summerton roads, is set to host the 15,000-square-foot addition. Gwladys Austin, MMCC’s vice president of Institutional Services and Technology, said the addition will house the bookstore and student services.

With conference play less than a week away, CMU baseball coach Steve Jaksa looks to finalize lineups and a pitching rotation this weekend when it travels to Normal, Ill., for a series with Illinois State.CMU (6-6) plays four games in three days, beginning with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. today. Originally scheduled for Saturday, the doubleheader was moved in anticipation of inclement weather.
