Central Michigan University Police responded to an attempted suicide Sunday morning when a 22 year-old female student took several pills. The woman had made suicidal comments before swallowing the pills. Lt. Cameron Wassman said she did not know what the pills were when she took them. The woman was taken to McLaren Central Michigan and survived the incident. Police petitioned that she undergo a mental evaluation.

An assault was reported around 1 a.m. Monday when a resident assistant, 24, in Carey Hall was spat on by an 18 year-old male student living in the residence hall. Lt. Cameron Wassman of the Central Michigan University Police Department said the incident was not preceded by any interaction between the two. The suspect was found
to be intoxicated. The victim chose not to pursue charges and the incident was
forwarded to the Office of Student Conduct.
