Art from the Parks
Park-inspired art, live music, poetry readings, trail walks, a “Creation Station” and the creation a community quilt will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at Deerfield Nature Park, 2425 W. Remus Road. The event is free, but an entrance permit is required for a vehicle to enter the park. The event is hosted by the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, Isabella County Parks and Recreation and Art Reach of Mid Michigan. Theatre is alive and well in downtown Mount Pleasant.
The Broadway Theatre, 216 E. Broadway St., opens its eighth season of community theatre Friday with Paul Rudnick’s “I Hate Hamlet.”
The show will provide a fun night of comedy, swordplay and Shakespeare, said the play’s producer, Jan Howard.

But Thursday, it will be full of laughs when the New Age Comedy Tour comes to visit.
