The construction project at the northbound and southbound Mount Pleasant exits of US-127 should be completed before winter.

Lincoln Street closed because of construction downtown


Mount Pleasant will soon have 40 additional parking spaces downtown to alleviate parking concerns.
Construction on the $40,000 project began Monday along Lincoln Street between Court and Main Streets and should be completed in two weeks, said Mount Pleasant Director of Public Works Duane Ellis.

Research possibly in jeopardy after Brooks Hall renovation


Code violations that forced university officials to rush to open Brooks Hall for the start of fall were not the only issues following summer construction.

Two freezers containing 7,000 to 8,000 samples of DNA from two student research projects were turned off.
