Students, alumni and fans of all ages changed the asphalt of Lot 63 in a sea of maroon and gold prior to the noon Central Michigan University football game against Eastern Michigan.
Although 26,730 people filled the seats Saturday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, many alumni who returned for homecoming were disappointed with new tailgating rules.
Central Michigan University will amend the new tailgating procedures to allow students to use external sound systems in Lot 63 starting with this Saturday’s tailgate.
The grills were fired up, the beers were cold and everyone was donning maroon and gold.
It sounded like a typical football tailgate at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Except this tailgate Saturday was on Main Street.
Students celebrating at Kelly/Shorts Stadium’s Lot 63 on Saturday noticed some changes. Clarkston junior Mitch Miller sure did.
