CMU extends faculty contract, more negotiations planned this week


Central Michigan University officials have extended the Faculty Association contract until July 15, according to a statement issued by University Communications on Monday. The current contract was set to expire June 30.

The contract extension comes after a "marathon 17-hour bargaining session," according to the statement, lasting until 4 a.m. this morning.

The bargaining committees will meet again Wednesday to continue discussions.
