Governor Snyder appoints Studley, reappoints Wardrop to Board of Trustees

Gov. Rick Snyder appointed Rich Studley, of Grand Ledge, and reappointed Robert Wardrop II, of Grand Rapids to the Central Michigan University Board of Trustees Dec. 12. 

"Rich and Robert bring valuable leadership experience to the board and I am confident they will do great work for the CMU community," Snyder said in a press release.

Studley is the president and CEO of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. He serves as chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, chairman of the U.S. Chamber's Accreditation Committee for state and local chambers and is a member of the Michigan Society of Association Executives.

He earned a bachelor's degree from Alma College and a master's degree from Central Michigan University. He will replace trustee Brian Fannon after his term expires Dec. 31. 

Robert Wardrop IIWardrop is owner and senior shareholder of Wardrop & Wardrop P.C., specializing in corporate formation and governace, bankruptcy, creditors' rights, business reorganization and larger debt personal bankruptcy. Wardrop earned his bachelor's degree from CMU, a master's degree from Indiana University, and a law degree from University of Detroit. 

Appointees will serve eight-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2022.
