Central Michigan University is hosting its fifth annual Diversity and Inclusion Symposium in an interactive online format May 8. This year’s summit focuses on “The Future of Inclusive Engagement and Equity in Action On-Campus” and will be open through May 28.

The event features Amy Andrews, a CMU alumna and U.S. Department of Defense senior executive, as the keynote speaker on “Why Inclusion Matters.” There will also be a number of breakout sessions on topics such as equity in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), how to navigate CMU’s online diversity resources and rural student experiences.

CMU students, faculty and staff are invited to register for an open town hall to provide feedback and input for next year’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across campus. The symposium also offers attendees the opportunity to interact and ask questions.
