Meet major party candidates on zoom webinar Sept. 28 and Sept. 29

The packed Coe Township hall remained open until 8p.m. Nov. 3, 2020. If you have yet to vote, make sure you exercise your civic rights this election.

The National Council of Jewish Women is hosting two webinars entitled, 'Meet the Candidates,' to present major party candidates running for State Senate and for State Representative on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29. 

The webinars are being held in order to educate the public so informed decisions can be made in the upcoming election. 

The event is free and open to the public. Register at www.ncjwmi.org or call (248)-355-3300 ext. 0 to obtain a zoom link. 

Meet the Candidates State Senate will be held on Sept. 28.

  • Session 1: Begins at 6:45 p.m. and includes candidates Erika Geiss (Democrat, District 1), Mary Cavanaugh (Democrat, District 6), and Ken Crider (Republican, District 6).
  • Session 2: Begins at 8 p.m. and includes candidates Jeremy Moss (Democrat, District 7), Padma Kuppa (Democrat, District 9), and Rosemary Bayer (Democrat, District 13).

Meet the Candidates State House will be held on Sept. 29.

  • Session 1: Begins at 6:45 p.m. and includes these candidates or their representative: Natalie Price (Democrat, District 5), Paul Taros (Republican, District 5), Jason Hoskins (Democrat, District 18), Dr. Wendy Webster Jackson (Republican, District 18), Samantha Steckloff (Democrat, District 19), and Anthony Paesano (Republican, District 19).
  • Session 2: Begins at 8 p.m. and includes candidates Noah Arbit (Democrat, District 20), Christina Kafkakis (Democrat, District 49), Ann Bollin (Republican, District 49), Shadia Martini (Democrat, District 54), and Donni Steele (Republican, District 54).

NCJW was originally founded in 1891 on the foundation of Jewish values. The organization is dedicated to advocate for social justice and to improve the quality of life for women, children and families by protecting individual rights and freedoms, according to the NCJW website.
