Qatu named EMU dean of College of Technology

Central Michigan University's chair of the School of Engineering and Technology Mohamad Qatu was recently named dean of the College of Technology at Eastern Michigan University.

Qatu was chosen by EMU after a months-long national search which brought four finalists to their campus for interviews and public forums. He will officially begin July 1 and will be paid an annual salary of $172,000.

Before coming to CMU, Qatu served as a professor of mechanical engineering at Michigan State University from 2008 to 2011.
