The Oct. 1 rivalry game between Central Michigan and Western Michigan is scheduled to be broadcast from Kelly/Shorts Stadium at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

However, CMU junior Joshua Scramlin is doing all he can to ensure College GameDay comes to Mount Pleasant for the Chippewas' game against the Broncos.

Scramlin created a petition on change.org called "Bring ESPN College GameDay to Central Michigan vs. Western Michigan." The goal of the petition was to get 500 signatures. As of Wednesday, the petition has accumulated more than 1,300 signatures.

In the page's description, Scramlin brings up several points for why College GameDay should come to Mount Pleasant: Both teams have a top 30 quarterback in the country according to ESPN, WMU has the 17th ranked offense in the country, CMU has the 16th ranked defense and both teams received Top-25 votes in the AP Poll this week.

The petition isn't limited to CMU fans exclusively. Bronco and Chippewa fans are both signing, with many comments being "row the boat." Signatures have come from Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky.

College GameDay is a pre-game show on ESPN, hosted by Rece Davis, that travels to one college town every Saturday to highlight that university's game. The show includes celebrity guests to predict the outcomes of games and features commentator Lee Corso's famous "headgear selection."
