Women's basketball looks for fifth consecutive victory against Ohio

Now winners of four consecutive games, the Central Michigan women’s basketball team will head back on the road tonight to take on Ohio at 7 p.m. looking to win their third straight road game.

CMU (18-6, 10-2 MAC) defeated Western Michigan 94-84 Saturday and regained sole possession of first place in the Mid-American Conference West Division.

Head coach Sue Guevara said she thought the win over WMU was tough, and her team needs to be more disciplined on defense.

“I thought it was hard because of the 27 (WMU) fouls called and 22 (CMU) fouls called because it made it hard to get any kind of a flow,” Guevara said. “When the game is being called a certain way, we need to adjust sooner. The next time we go out, we have to be much better defensively. Being disciplined is what we need to do.”
