Isabella County facilities closed to the public

The Isabella County Building stands March 19 in downtown Mount Pleasant.

In an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus, the Isabella County government announced that all county facilities will be closed to the public.

Isabella county announced in a press release that county facilities will be closed effective at noon March 18 until April 5.

Staff will still be able to handle services over phone, email and virtual methods. A list of phone numbers can be found on the county's website.

Isabella County Trial Court will be closed to the public with a few exceptions. Scheduled hearings will continue, but only parties of the case will be allowed entry, such as witnesses, litigants and their attorneys. Emergency filings will be allowed, but only the party filing documents will be allowed to enter. 

The court will continue to provide essential services as required. Any other entry will be at the discretion of the Chief Judge of Court Administrator.

The Sheriff's Office is still fully staffed, and the Isabella County Treasurer's Office will remain open to the public via appointment. To make an appointment, call (989) 317-4091.
