Assault in Mount Pleasant cab still under investigation
An assault between two individuals in a local taxi Sunday is still under police investigation. on Broomfield and Tallgrass Roads, according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department press log.
The incident occurred in the taxi near Broomfield and Tallgrass roads. A complaint was filed to police at 12:11 p.m.
Jeff Browne, Mount Pleasant Police Department public information officer, said the investigation is still an open complaint.
"We are working from different leads and making contact with the cab company to identify the individuals," he said.
Browne said it is only known at this point that the individuals do not known one another and that a simple assault occurred.
Simple assaults can include anything such as unwanted touching, pushing, shoving and punching.
