Samantha Madar | Photo editor Junior guard Crystal Bradford has led the Chippewas to an undefeated home and Mid-American Conference record through the first seven games of MAC play. The Gold Medal-owning student athlete has averaged a double-double for the majority of this season. Bradford and the Chippewas host rival Eastern Michigan Thursday night at 7 p.m. in McGuirk Arena.

Crystal Bradford of the Central Michigan University’s women’s basketball team has been named honorable mention on the 2015 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Division I All-America Team.

Bradford’s senior season was cut short due to a knee injury.

Despite her injury, Bradford’s time as a Chippewa comes to a close as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 2,006 points and rebounder with 1,140.

Her 805 career field goals made and 177 career blocked-shots were also good enough for best in program history.

A four-time All Mid-American Conference honoree, Bradford was named the 2013-14 MAC Player of the Year and the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year that season.

Bradford is one of 42 players named to the honorable mention list. The 10-player All-America team was announced at the NCAA Women’s Final Four in Tampa Bay, Fla.
