Senior Maggie Diebold was named the Mid-American Conference Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a personal and team-best seven goals in the Chippewas dominant 20-11 victory at Youngstown State.

Diebold leads the MAC with 40 goals on the season, a total that ranks 19th nationally.

Diebold scored seven goals on 11 shots in the victory over the Penguins. She led the Chippewas in a dominant 12-3 second-half, scoring five goals after halftime.

She has scored four or more goals in her last four games. Diebold has 40 goals in 12 games, averaging 3.33 goals per game on the season.

This marks the third time this season that Diebold, a senior from Howell, N.J., has earned the MAC Offensive Player of the Week Award.

CMU is 6-6 on the season and 4-1 in the MAC. The Chippewas are second in the MAC only behind Robert Morris who are 6-0 in MAC play.

Diebold and the Chippewas will look to stay dominant in MAC play as they come back home to take on Detroit Mercy Saturday Apr. 9. at the CMU Lacrosse Complex.
