On Wednesday, April 19, Central Review Liberal Arts Magazine will be hosting a charity plant and bake sale for the Chippewa Water Conservancy (CWC) as part of its Earth Week events calendar.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Bovee University Center.

Members of Central Review will be selling potted plants, propagations and baked goods to fundraise for the CWC, as stated on Engage Central. Vegan and gluten-free options will be available.

According to it’s website, the CWC currently owns 24 nature preserves that spans over 640 acres of wild lands open to the public for educational and recreational purposes. These preserves are located in Clare, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta and Montcalm counties. The CWC’s mission “is to protect and restore Central Michigan’s land, water and wildlife resources to improve the quality of life for all.”

According to cmich.edu, Central Review is a literary journal edited and produced once per semester. Publications include poetry, fiction and nonfiction by CMU undergraduate and graduate students.

All those who plan to attend the event can RSVP on Engage Central, and the rest of Central Review’s Earth Week events calendar can be found on its Instagram
