BREAKING: Single vehicle motorcycle collision on campus leaves driver injured

A single vehicle motorcycle accident occurred between Woldt Hall and the Engineering and Technology building on the campus of Central Michigan University at approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 7.
The CMU Police Department was dispatched to the scene, where they conducted an investigation. They were assisted by the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Mount Pleasant Fire Department, Mobile Medical Response and Isabella County Central Dispatch.
“The driver of the vehicle lost control of the motorcycle, fell off the motorcycle, and struck a road sign,” CMUPD Lieutenant Michael Sienkiewicz said. “The motorcycle continued to travel forward and struck a parked vehicle.”
Sienkiewicz said the motorcyclist was injured during the collision and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
There are no available updates to the driver’s condition, and the incident remains under investigation by the CMUPD.
