No Kings 2.0 -- Mount Pleasant and Lansing

In nearly 100 locations across the state of Michigan, demonstrators gathered at No Kings rallies on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025. No Kings was a nationwide day of defiance against the Trump administration, fueled by recent ICE raids and cuts to healthcare, education and environmental regulations.

In Mount Pleasant, hundreds of protestors lined Mission Street in a rally organized by Indivisible Central Michigan. College students and community members alike displayed handmade signs and participated in chants to show their disagreement with current policies. Thousands filled the lawn of the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing, where speakers addressed topics such as disability rights and access to healthcare.

"We've gotta stand up," Lansing protestor Steve Purchase said. "There's nothing more American than speaking out against injustice and tyranny and all the rest."
