Second annual 'Stuff the Bus' donation drive to assist local school teachers
Community members are coming together to "Stuff the Bus," which will help local elementary teachers get supplies for their classrooms.
The United Way of Isabella County is hosting the second annual school supply drive starting July 28. The non-profit organization hopes to get 10,000 items to distribute to teachers across Isabella County.
Hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes and facial tissues are always accepted. United Way also hopes to get donations of crayons and markers, as well as other art supplies, tape, scissors, and dry erase markers.
The second annual CFX Schoolhouse Music Fest will be held August 17 to raise money and gather donations for "Stuff the Bus." The show will take place at Hunter's Ale House, 4855 E. Blue Grass Road.
Businesses around Mount Pleasant and Isabella County have boxes for donations. For a full list of drop-off locations, visit the United Way website. Donations will be distributed the week of August 25.
