Mortar Board Nation Honor Society to award scholarship

The Mortar Board National Honor Society Scholarship will offer a scholarship for the 2015-2016 school year. 

Requirements for the scholarship are a 3.0 minimum grade point average, full-time student status and sophomore, junior or senior class status.

The scholarships are broken down into three winners of $150, $350 and $500 of scholarships available. Half of the scholarship will be in the form of a personal check and the other have is a Central Michigan University Bookstore gift card.

To apply for the scholarship, students must submit a 1-3 page essay in regards to Mortar Board's three pillars of excellence: scholarship, leadership and service. Students must address what these terms mean to them, how they apply to them and how they will continue to take the next step of improvement in these areas.

The essay must be submitted before April 1 and must be typed, double spaced and in a readable 12-pt. font.
