Northern Illinois came into McGuirk Arena Wednesday night 0-6 at McGuirk Arena.

In a 95-63 victory, the Central Michigan women's basketball team delivered NIU its seventh consecutive loss in Mount Pleasant, and ninth in 10 trips.

The Chippewas have now won 90 percent of the last 10 meetings with the Huskies.

After a first quarter of lead changes, CMU took control at 7:42 in the second quarter after a Jasmine Harris 3-pointer. The Chippewas never looked back.

Woodhaven sophomore forward Cassie Breen led the way for the Chippewas, finishing with 23 points and shooting 50 percent from 3-point range.

Coming off the bench, 6-foot-1-inch guard Jasmine Harris contributed 18 points and five rebounds.

Sophomore forward Tinara Moore added 12 points and 11 rebounds of her own, picking up her eighth double-double of the season. Jewel Cotton also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

CMU held NIU's leading scorer Ally Lehman — who averages 13.2 points per game — to 11.

The win gives CMU its ninth win of the season and third in MAC play.

The Chippewas will hit the road, traveling next to Athens to play Ohio Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. The Bobcats entered Wednesday 11-3 and 3-0 in Mid-American Conference play.

The team then goes to Oxford to take on the 7-7 Miami Red Hawks.
