A ratification to a new bargaining agreement that outlines the rights of supervisory technical employees will be voted on today.

Voting will take place between Central Michigan University and the Supervisory-Technical Association MEA/NEA from noon until 2 p.m. in the Charles V. Park Library Auditorium. According to CMU's website, the contract covers employees across a wide range of supervisory technical positions from the office supervisor to supervisors of skilled trades.

The new agreement is planned to take effect on July 1, 2016 for the duration of five years — until June 30, 2021.

President and Bargaining Chair and Payroll Technician Tena Best said she could not discuss any of the new contract details until Friday, when a press release will be available.
