Six inductees to Marcy Weston Hall of Fame announced


Central Michigan University announced six former Chippewas will be inducted into the Marcy Weston Hall of Fame.

Alden Bernardi, Sara Buttinsky, Johnie Drake, Tamera Thomas, Ken VanDyke and Pierre Vinson will be inducted at 7 p.m. on Oct. 28 in a ceremony at McGuirk Arena. The event is free and open to the public.

The six inductees will also be honored at halftime of the football game  on Oct. 29against Kent State.

This year's class is the 33rd group of inductees. It brings the total to 202 hall members. Athletes, coaches and administrators are eligible for induction 10 years after their final season at CMU. Inductees must earn two letters in one sport or one or more in two sports, and an outstanding career as an athlete must be continued in the individual's profession or occupation.
